Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has congratulated Ukrainians on Orthodox Christmas, the Cabinet of Ministers' press service reported.
"Christmas is coming to our land, and it is covering our homes with joy, bringing light and hope. Christmas dispels darkness, overcomes despair, elevates people above everyday life, makes them better and more confident," he said.
He assured that now Ukrainians are getting strengthened in their determination to protect their families and their country.
"Christmas is time to do good, express words of gratitude, love and respect. Let in these days no one around us feel forgotten and abandoned, let everyone in Ukraine feel participation and support, warmth and respect, knowing that all people in Ukraine are supporting each other," Yatseniuk said.
