The Ukraine-EU Parliamentary Association Committee has recommended that the European Commission send the police mission to Ukraine.
This has been announced by the co-chairman of the Ukraine-EU Parliamentary Association Committee, MP from the Narodnyi Front faction Ostap Semerak at the press conference on the results of the first meeting of the Committee held in Brussels.
"In a joint resolution to the European Commission on the results of the meeting, we ask to support the launch of the EU Police Mission in Ukraine. I hope that the EC will make this decision promptly," Semerak said.
He has noted that the resolution to the European Commission focuses on the non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea and, in this regard, condemns the actions of the Russian Federation. The European Parliament expressed its deep concern over the increasing number of terrorist attacks and appealed to the all parties to implement the Minsk agreements. The resolution also refers to the need to increase the number of observers of the OSCE mission.
