The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the European Parliament will sign a memorandum on deepening cooperation.
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman and European Parliament President Martin Schulz agreed on this in Brussels on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Mr. Hroisman put forward a proposal and I have supported it. It is aimed at intensifying internal cooperation between the European Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," Schulz said.
He said that a memorandum of cooperation will be signed soon.
Schultz also stressed that the European Parliament, within its powers, will make every effort to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
He noted that he had accepted Hroisman's invitation to make an official visit to Ukraine.
