A state, which violates the Minsk agreements on peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas, will face sanctions.
This has been announced by French president Francois Hollande at the press conference in Paris, held jointly with German chancellor Angela Merkel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"A state, which violates the provisions of the Minsk agreements on settlement of situation in Ukraine, will face sanctions," Hollande said.
French and German leaders also called on the parties to the conflict in Donbas to fully adhere to the Minsk agreements. Merkel said that France and Germany have a common position on this issue.
In her view, the situation in Ukraine remains difficult. "We must ensure withdrawal of heavy weaponry and exchange of prisoners," she said.
