According to German foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the decision on agreement on a peace plan for Ukraine will be made in the coming days.
“The decision on whether it is possible to go this way [implementation of peace plan] will be made within two to three days,” Steinmeier said in an interview with Germany's ARD TV on Saturday, February 7.
The minister said that the subsequent course of events, whether in direction of escalation or in direction of truce and political solution, depended primarily on the parties to the conflict.
As a reminder, at the Munich Security Conference, German foreign minister said that the conflict in Ukraine posed a threat to a new division of Europe, and warned against making decisions, which could divide it for decades. The foreign minister called on Ukraine and Russia to implement the Minsk ceasefire arrangements. The politician is convinced that the necessary decisions are to be taken in Kyiv and Moscow, not in Berlin or Paris.
