Russian-backed terrorists are trying to expand their territory in the east of Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this during a meeting of NATO Defense Ministers in Brussels on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"There is a sharp escalation of violence in Ukraine. Separatists, supported by Russia, are trying to expand their territory, despite the Minsk agreements," he said.
He reiterated that Russia supplies militants with hundreds of modern weapons, as well as troops.
