The web portal for electronic submission of citizens' petitions to authorities will be launched in Ukraine soon, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said at the meeting of the National Council of Reforms, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"We are about to launch a portal for citizens' petitions. It is a wide-spread and pretty efficient technology of collective influence on the government in democratic countries," Poroshenko said.
According to him, the Ukrainian model of petitions' submission has been taken from the British, German and American experience. "The government may fail to hear a person, while petition is a powerful tool," the head of State noted.
He added that today the government should show a drastically different approach. "The reform program "Digital Ukraine" provides for unprecedented openness of electronic data related to the functioning of public authorities, public finance, public registries, public procurement and statistics," Ukraine's President said.
