Ukraine moves to evacuate eastern town of Debaltseve

As peace talks in the Belarusian capital of Minsk once again failed to deliver results, intense fighting continues in eastern Ukraine. The town of Debaltseve, 70 kilometres (43 miles) northeast of Donetsk, is now under constant shelling, prompting Ukrainian regional authorities to provide vehicles for those wishing to flee.

As peace talks on the situation in Ukraine failed to deliver results and with the town of Debaltseve under constant shelling, Ukrainian authorities have moved to evacuate residents wishing to flee.

But only four small buses were provided for the hundreds if not thousands of people now clamouring to leave the town. It is an evacuation happening under dangerous and chaotic circumstances.
